Oh, This is Deep for a Thrifty Blog

If you were to take a look at my list of one thousand gifts, you would find the book,
One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp.
This book has really opened by eyes and heart to see my ordinary life in a new way.
I do the same things day after day: I wake, prepare meals, do laundry, clean the house, run errands and I do them thinking that I'm in control. Oh, Really?
What do I have the ability to accomplish if not for God?
These are the very God given miracles happening every day that are so easily taken for granted.
I speak to God throughout the day asking for His help with this thing or that, when what I'm really saying is "give me what I want please".
I read one tiny little sentence and it pierces me...
"Life change comes when we receive life with thanks and ask for nothing to change."
My AHA moment!
It's as though God has tapped me on the shoulder...Ahem, Open your eyes. Look and see!
Blessings and Grace, all around me.
Giving thanks for my simple ordinary days is living with the fullness of life, joy in every moment.

Phil 4:6 "in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
